After updating Adobe flash everyday for 2 weeks, I am pleased to report that none of my browsers support adobe flash video now!! New IT Helpdesk routine – login, update Adobe Flash, check backups etc etc. try and view any internet flash based files, error, download another version of adobe flash – wait 10 minutes for the installation to do anything, try again to view page, error.
You can kinda see where Apple are coming from with the adobe flash not working on their products – other machines allow it, and with a new download every 24 hours, it still doesn’t work anyway!!! Pathetic!!
Backward compatibility – I think what is really a good feature of Adobe flash is the way it is 100% not backward compatible for using older versions, having said that, updating to the latest version is more likely to make your browser crash, and still be unable to play anything.
Adobe – you need to sort this out, it was always has been a bit fussy about playing files in flash, but since Feb this year – you might aswell forget it!
Less than a week after saying how IE9 was better as it had not crashed for 3 hours, Google Chrome enters the ring, and decides that shockwave flash plugin has errors!! This turns your PC into an “Apple device” and means you can no longer view any adobe flash videos or images!!! Quick search on Google – thought it was a good place to start for Google Chrome, and Google have their own help forum with 277 replies and counting!! Is it Chrome that is broken, or the flash plugin? Easy response to all this – stop using Chrome and move onto IE9!!! Who would have thought it!
Hello everyone, this is my first blog. You find my first blog here due to blogger requiring a Google email account – which I don’t have, want, or use. Thanks for looking me up. for my first blog I will introduce a little about myself, and the reason for setting this up.
I signed up to Microsoft TechNet quite a few years ago, and for a while now have been receiving and reading the weekly TechNet newsletter. I have always found TechNet to be a useful resource, especially when studying for MCSE. This first blog is my way of working with TechNet to provide real world experiences.
With the usual disruptive nature of IT, I will be endeavouring to update my blog fortnightly, where I will look at different areas of my work. This will no doubt concentrate on the developments during the week. I know only too well how little time we all have so I will keep them short.
